About

About LKSA

London Kite Surfers Association (LKSA) is a London-based community club for people who kitesurf, or want to get into the sport. We connect riders across London and the South East for local sessions, social events, spot sharing, and weekend travel — with a strong emphasis on safety and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.

What we do

  • Community sessions — helping members connect for local beach days and water sessions at spots across the South East and beyond.
  • Social events — monthly drinks, quarterly parties, and informal gatherings throughout the year.
  • Weekend trips — coordinated travel to UK and European kite destinations, organised through our community groups.
  • Spot knowledge — sharing local knowledge through our UK kite spots guide and community channels.
  • Safety culture — promoting responsible, respectful riding on and off the water through our safety guidance.

Who we are

Our members range from beginners fresh out of lessons to experienced riders who have been on the water for many years. We are not a coaching club — we are a social and organisational hub for the London kite community. If you are looking to learn, we recommend completing lessons with a qualified IKO or BKSA school first, then joining us to connect with the wider community.

BKSA affiliation

LKSA is a company limited by guarantee and an affiliated club of the British Kite Sports Association (BKSA) — the national governing body for kitesurfing in the UK. Membership of LKSA is obtained through BKSA. See the membership page for details.

Get involved

The best way to get involved is to join as a member and connect through our community channels. Monthly social drinks are open to all, and new faces are always welcome. See the socials page for the next event, or the community page to join the conversation.
