Membership costs

LKSA membership is a BKSA membership plus a £5 LKSA club affiliation fee.

Prices shown are BKSA membership (Standard £46, Student £39, Junior £34) plus the £5 LKSA club fee. You are insured from the moment payment is made. Membership packs normally arrive within 7–10 days.

What membership includes

BKSA membership comes with insurance arranged on behalf of all members. This is one of the most important reasons to join — kitesurfing creates real risk to yourself and others, and riding without insurance is strongly discouraged.

• Third party liability cover — protection if your kite or lines cause injury or damage to another person or their property. Claims must be brought under UK jurisdiction.
• Personal accident cover — a benefits policy covering you for injury sustained while participating in kitesports.
• Worldwide cover — insured when riding abroad (up to 90 days per year, excluding sanctioned countries and destinations against Home Office travel advice).
• All kite disciplines — covers kitesurfing, wingfoiling, land buggying, kite landboarding, and other kite disciplines.
• LKSA club membership — by selecting London Kitesurfers as your local club you become a full member of LKSA.

BKSA membership insurance does not include travel insurance. Purchase a separate travel policy when riding abroad.

Qualifying for insurance

You must live in the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, or the Channel Islands for more than 6 months of the membership year to qualify for the insurance cover.
