Hayling Island (West Beach / CBK)
Outstanding flat-water spot in the Solent — broad usable range from E through W. Best at low to mid water — avoid ~1 hour either side of HW. Sandbars at lower tide give flat conditions ideal for all levels; outside the sandbar zone there is more open-sea texture. East Winner sand bar appears 4 hours either side of low tide forming a flat lagoon >1 km out. CBK is the longest-running kitesurf school in the UK (since 1999) — structured environment with rescue cover. Very popular at weekends; membership or day passes required.
