This website doesn’t track you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, and collects no personal data.

Who we are

This site is run by the London Kite Surfers Association (LKSA), a volunteer-run, not-for-profit kitesurfing community — London Kite Surfers Association Limited, a company limited by guarantee and an affiliate of the British Kite Sports Association (BKSA).

What we collect

Nothing, directly. londonkitesurfers.com is a static information site: wind and tide forecasts, spot guides, maps and club news. It has no accounts or logins, no contact or sign-up forms, and no comment sections. We set no cookies and use no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind — nothing on the site stores data in your browser or builds a profile of you.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may record standard, anonymous technical request logs — such as an IP address and the time of a request — purely to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. These logs are not used to identify you and we don’t link them to any profile.

Maps and forecast data

Our interactive maps use the open-source Leaflet library (served directly from this site) and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. When a map loads, your browser requests the tile images directly from OpenStreetMap, so they receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering them. The forecast itself is a public, read-only file served from this site. We don’t send any information about you to anyone.

Links to other services

Pages on this site link out to third-party services — for example WhatsApp, Telegram, Meetup and Facebook (our community groups), Windguru (forecasts), Google Maps (directions), the BKSA, and independent kite schools. We don’t control those sites; once you follow a link or join a group, that service’s own privacy policy and terms apply to anything you do or share there.

Membership and getting in touch

We don’t collect membership or contact details through this website. Club membership and insurance are administered through the British Kite Sports Association, and we coordinate day-to-day via our WhatsApp and Telegram groups. Any details you choose to share that way are handled to administer your membership or answer your message, and are governed by the privacy policies of the BKSA and those messaging platforms.

The London Kitesurfers app

Our companion app has its own, separate privacy policy. Like this website, it collects no personal data — it only fetches the public forecast feed over HTTPS.

Children

This site is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Your data

Because the website holds no personal data about you, there is nothing here for us to access, correct or delete. For anything relating to your BKSA membership, please contact the BKSA directly.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
