This weekend — Sat 1 & Sun 2 August. A genuinely marginal weekend, and both days are limited-window: high water lands early-to-mid afternoon both days (12:54–13:20 Saturday, 12:58–14:01 Sunday), so the tide-friendly hours sit at the start and end of the day rather than the middle. Saturday: a light WSW/SW breeze (13–17 kt) touches six spots in the low-to-mid teens once clear of the midday high, none a standout. Hillhead 💨 (★) has the best number on paper — ~15 kt WSW, any tide, no restriction to plan around, best from 16:15–20:50 BST. Bracklesham Bay 💨 (★) and East Wittering 💨 (★) share the same evening stretch (16:40–20:50) at ~13 kt and ~12.5 kt — East Wittering's own ±2.5 h high-water ban (ends ~15:30) rules out anything earlier. Lancing 💨 (★) and Littlehampton 💨 (★½) pick up from ~16:50–20:50 at 12–14 kt off the falling tide — keep clear of the groynes at Lancing near its own high water, though that's well before this window. Goring 💨 (★) is the exception — it prefers the higher tide, so its best (~13 kt) spell sits over the early-to-late afternoon instead. All big-kite (14 m+) or foil territory. Sunday: ENE fills in and picks up (15–28 kt), but it's brief peaks rather than sustained sessions everywhere — every rated spot's ≥15 kt stretch lasts under 2 hours somewhere in its tide window, not pinned to a specific hour this far out, and the day is gusty/squally throughout. Greatstone 💨 (★★½) has the punchiest peak at ~20 kt ENE, with Dymchurch 💨 (★★) close behind at ~19 kt — both share the evening low, more one for locals already nearby than a special trip. Whitstable 💨 (★★) works the morning low instead (while the sandbank shows) for a brief ~16 kt peak. Frinton-on-Sea 💨 and Pevensey Bay 💨 (both ★) get similar brief ~16 kt evening peaks, and East Beach 💨 (★) a brief ~15 kt morning one. Saturday 1 August — WSW/SW stays light, six spots share a marginal evening

★ No standout — Hillhead, Bracklesham Bay, East Wittering, Lancing and Goring all reach ★ (Littlehampton nudges to ★½), big kites/foils once the midday high clears.

High water lands early-to-mid afternoon (12:54–13:20) across the group, pushing the workable window to the evening for most of them. Hillhead is best 16:15–20:50 BST at ~15 kt WSW, any tide, no restriction. ★★½ Greatstone's peak is the punchiest — Dymchurch, Whitstable, East Beach, Frinton-on-Sea and Pevensey Bay all reach ★/★★ too, but every one is a short window, not a sustained session.
